Chris,

What a great story! Little Christine's answer at the end is priceless . . .

You said,
"I love maps. In another life I probably could have been a cartographer, holding up in a dusty office in Florence or Genoa, working with parchments and ink, reproducing the territories being discovered by the brave mariners of the late fifteenth century."

Sorry, but I just can't picture it. I see you as BEING one of the explorers. I cannot conceive of you sitting back tamely and letting them do the hard and dangerous stuff!!

Were you, after all, not the one who said with such passion and conviction recently, "Bring me that horizon!"?? Are you not the one addicted to dangerous motorized sport??? Yep, you'd be discovering the stuff for map makers to draw, and happy as you could be doing it . . .

Thank you for another amazing and thought-provoking post. Can't wait for the book!

I think every school teacher should be required to subscribe to the information available through the TEAM/LIFE. The way different subjects are presented by you and Orrin and the other leaders encourages curiosity and the desire to learn more because of the passion you project in your writings.

If I get nothing more from my experiences with this organization, I am eternally grateful for the re-awakening of the desire to learn more about so many different subjects. I truly thought that after 56 years, with an educational experience of learning for a passing grade, that the fun in learning for the pure joy of learning was gone. It is not, and for that you, Orrin and the incredible TEAM/LIFE family have my eternal gratitude.

My elephant was right there in Tuscany with all of you as I read about your experiences. The teaching through illustration that you do so well will remain with me for a very long time.

We are all blessed to be a part of Team/LIFE and have such an incredible, humble PC to follow. God bless!

That's a great story, and such a cute ending! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Can't wait to read the book!!

Mr. Brady,
Awesome, thank you for sharing this story. I am a truck driver and have dreamed of taking my now 5 year-old daughter on trips around the country to show her all the wonders of our creators creation.

Chris,
Thank you for the sneak peak at your upcoming book. I love how you use the power of the personal narrative! Your stories and descriptive language make learning come alive for all of us.

I truly appreciate the sacrifices you and Terri have made along your journey. Thanks for exemplifying what our life can become by being persistent in our journey as well.

Keep the stories coming. We love you guys,
Chris and Marcia Robinson

Thanks for the post on the importance of history. Besides a general regret for all of that lost wisdom do you have a favorite historical event?

I am most passionate about the history of conflict and interested in the history of peace....

Your post is a beautiful story with a child's perspective -so meaningful to me as an early childhood educator - thank you!

Chris,

Loved the chapter; can't wait for the book. Better yet, can't wait to have the book in hand as I take Deanna on that promised 25th anniversary trip to Tuscany as the "expert"!

How I long for our subsequent generations to know the consequences of Jekyll Island over the programming manifestation of Vivendi/Decca. Thanks be to you for choosing to break the blue bag, reestablish our Republic, and lead us. I am very humbled to know your pupil's pupil. Lord willing, I hope to have an equal or greater understanding of leadership than you, so that I may touch those whom you have not.
